Are you a strategic writer with a passion for securing funding that drives meaningful impact? As the Grant Process Manager, you’ll play a key role in advancing fundraising, advocacy, and public relations efforts through compelling and persuasive grant writing. Your expertise in researching and developing new grant opportunities will directly contribute to the agency’s ability to grow and sustain critical programs.
In this role, you'll collaborate with program staff and leadership to craft compelling grant narratives, identify and evaluate new funding sources, and coordinate with contracted grant writers. Beyond writing, you'll assist with grant reporting, participate in management processes, and ensure seamless coordination throughout the grant lifecycle—from initial research to final submission.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across departments to align funding opportunities with program needs. You need: 
  • High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum three years of grant writing experience. Nonprofit grant experience preferred
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge of writing proofreading and editing  
  • Knowledge of federal, state, municipal and other grant regulations, practices and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational and time-management skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to compile pertinent themes and details from verbal conversations or meetings into cohesive summaries for use in grant applications or other communications.

  • Ability to adhere to multiple deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Clear understanding of the Agency’s culture, philosophy, history and tradition(s) and the underlying values upon which the Agency is founded to the staff, youth and the community we serve.
  • Strong ability to articulate agency goals, programs, activities and stories through written stories and narratives.
  • Ability to work independently, using good judgment, and common sense, and function well under stressful conditions to meet all funding deadlines.
  • A high level of ethical standards.
  • Basic understanding of adolescent development and behaviors; family dynamics; crisis intervention
  • Demonstrate an enjoyment of and ability to relate to clients and staff
  • Ability to be approachable, honest, self-motivated, dedicated, adaptable, build rapport well, practice attentive and active listening, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate initiative, sound judgment and commitment to ongoing learning.
