 What your day-to-day might look like: 
As IT Manager, you’ll lead the organization’s technology operations, ensuring seamless performance across hardware, software, AV systems, phones, and security infrastructure. You'll work closely with department heads to establish IT procedures, including onboarding, security, training, updates, and system maintenance.
In this role, you’ll set hardware and software standards, oversee system updates, and maintain a three-year IT roadmap. You’ll manage network architecture, cybersecurity, and vendor relationships while ensuring all technology remains up-to-date and aligned with organizational needs. Additionally, you’ll support staff by providing training, troubleshooting, and helpdesk assistance as needed.
Your leadership extends to supervising IT interns, managing budgets, and participating in strategic planning. You’ll oversee disaster recovery plans, hardware replacement schedules, and business continuity strategies to keep systems secure and efficient.
Beyond daily operations, you’ll support special programs and events, contribute to policy development, and serve as a key voice in IT-related decision-making. You need: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, with emphasis in Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience can substitute for post-secondary education on a year-for-year basis
  • Progressive experience working with advanced-level information technology systems for 3-5 years or equivalent (preferred).  Live experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all Agency policies and procedures, including Child Protection Policies.
  • Ability to be approachable, and relatable, build rapport well, and practice active listening with individuals of varied cultural backgrounds, embracing differences in behavior and lifestyle choices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while understanding and complying with requirements of mandated reporting, duty to warn, HIPAA, and other limits to confidentiality.
  • Ability to assess a situation, analyze the relevant data, and consider the risks involved before signing off on a purchase or an action.
  • Ability to negotiate with management and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fluid environment.
  • Well-built time management skills.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard computer operating systems.  Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite, online databases, and other programs and websites as required.
  • Proficiency with IT best practices, and ability to implement them within the infrastructure
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours as well as Holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to accommodate a wide range of physical activity, including but not limited to walking long distances, moving up and down the stairs, lifting bags or boxes up to 50 pounds, driving a minivan, and physically assisting youth if needed.
  • A current and valid Driver’s License and good driving record
  • Ability to pass federal, state, and local background check investigations.
