Come explore Alaska's premier hiking destinations with our experienced team of guides! Since May of 2019, adventurers from around the globe have joined us in experiencing the thrill of Alaska's great outdoors right in the backyard of Anchorage. The Chugach State Park holds a massive 495,204 acres of lush forests, picture-perfect alpine, gushing glaciers, and magnificent mountains immediately to the east of Anchorage. It's a wilderness wonderland for kids and adults right outside our doorstep, and we take you to the best spots.
All of our guides are experienced in the outdoors, possess in-depth knowledge of the local area, and hold certifications in wilderness first response, first aid, and CPR. We'll also be teaching you how to safely explore Alaska on your own; that means learning about bear & moose prevention/encounter techniques, as well as simple route finding and even experiencing some of Alaska's local foods. To make your experience even more enjoyable, we'll be providing transportation, food, and trekking poles. Throw in an additional daypack with your water, and you're ready to go!
Choose from one of our day hiking options; either a short, half-day or full-day hike. You can also decide whether you want to attempt an grueling hike, or a simple stroll in the woods. It's up to you. We'll also try to accommodate your custom travel request, especially if you're traveling solo. Come take a hike with us!
Meetup spot for all hikes is at the Eagan center at 555 W. 5th Ave in downtown Anchorage. Due to COVID-19, guests are also welcomed to meet us at the designated trailheads.
