In operation since 1923, the Alaska Railroad Corporation is a full-service railroad and vital transportation link to ports and between communities throughout Southcentral and Interior Alaska.

The routes span across nearly 500 miles of remote and wild landscapes which feature bountiful scenery and spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities for our nearly 500,000 passengers each year.
