This is Matthew Worden, owner of Go Hike Alaska and new owner of Lifetime Adventures!  While you may not be familiar with the name, you probably are with the business.  Lifetime Adventures owns the building on the Eklutna Lakeshore, which rents out bikes and kayaks to recreationists.  We also offer group tours to corporations, non-profits, mission groups, teen groups and more!

As part of the and as a way of introducing myself as the new owner and saying goodbye to the previous owner, Dan Mconough, him and I are bring back the Eklutna Challenge race.  Dan used to host the race yearly during the 2000s and early 2010s, until stopping the race in 2016.  We are stoked to bring back the 3-mile run/15-mile bike ride to South Central Alaska.  The duathlon will take place on April 29th @ 10:00am, and will probably feature a little snow! ❄️ The fee is $45 for early registrations, which ends on April 20th.  Late registration is $55 and will be applied for entries between April 21st and April 29th, the day of the race.  It’s being limited to 200 individuals.  The beneficiaries of the race are the Eagle River Nature Center and Alaska Trails.  We love working with these organizations and appreciate all they do.

Attached is the official race flyer with general information as well as the sign up QR code and website to use.  We’d love to have you help us out in any way you can.  Feel free to distribute it in any way you’d like; if you’d like a physical copy of the flyer, please let me know.  Here is the direct sign up link:  https://bit.ly/eklutnachallenge

We’re also looking for sponsors and volunteers.  If you are interested in being a sponsor or volunteer, please reply directly to me and we’ll determine how to best work together.  I will shortly be sending out a separate email with a sponsorship/volunteer packet of information highlighting potential opportunities, but for now we want to start getting participants signed up.

Thanks for being a part of my network, and I look forward to hearing any comments or questions you have.
