Outstanding School Business Partnerships Recognized

The Spirit of Tomorrow Awards are presented to educators, businesses and students who inspire Alaska’s youth to pursue their future goals and foster collaboration between local schools and businesses.

The 2024 School Business Partnership Spirit of Tomorrow award winners will be honored at a luncheon, held at 11:15 A.M. on April 26, 2024 at the University of Alaska Anchorage Lucy Cuddy Hall.

  • Alaska Resource Education and Dimond High School
Special presentations will also recognize:

Student Award Cameron Thorp, Video News Team at Mirror Lake Middle School
Educator Award Amber Myers, Educator, Romig Middle School
Executive Award 11th Airborne Division Band
Superintendent Award Project SEARCH
Jim Utter Award of Excellence will be presented to Anne Adasiak-Andrew, Career and Technology Education at Anchorage School District

About School Business Partnerships
Anchorage School Business Partnership Inc. (SBP) began in 1991 and functions as a 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation with a Board of Directors that provides guidance and direction for the program as a whole. Over the years, there have been more than 600 organizations involved, resulting in an economic impact of $1.2 million annually. Partnerships range from a one-person business involved with one school to large corporations involved with schools throughout the district.

SBP Goals:
  • Foster meaningfully and impactful relationships between business and schools.
  • Develop quality partnerships for the benefit of all Anchorage School District students and staff. 
  • Cultivate opportunities for career and workforce development.
