AES MERGER WITH SDS

Alaska Enterprise Solutions (AES) is pleased to announce our forthcoming merger with Smart Document Solutions (SDS). The Merger is scheduled to officially take place on April 1st 2026 and will continue to operate under AES in Alaska and SDS in AZ, NV and UT for the immediate future.
AES was founded in February 2012 by Michael Ferris who is a lifelong Alaskan and former Xerox Sales Account Executive. AES is committed to offering the best office solutions and document management to our clients. Being Alaska based and staffed; AES can focus on the business needs of Alaskans.
Smart Document Solutions proudly serve businesses across Arizona, Southern Nevada, and Utah, delivering the best office copiers, printers, and document management systems in the industry. For more than 25 years, they have built their reputation on award-winning service, reliable technology, and custom business solutions that improve productivity and lower printing costs.
By combining our local expertise, we understand the unique needs of businesses throughout Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Alaska. The new company will be providing 40 years of combined experience and the ability to personalized solutions and responsive service that national chains simply can’t match.
With the help of this merger, we will be able to provide you with new and continued services and levels of expertise in the now and into the future. These service including the following:
• Larger product selection • Faster customer service resolution • Copier leasing and sales from multiple leading brands • Managed print services and maintenance plans • Office printer setup and workflow automation • Document scanning, storage, and cloud integration
As of today, you should see no major changes to your service or maintenance plans. Invoices in the future will come from SDS and the AES website will be redirected to the SDS website.

Our staff will continue in their current roles as well, and we will continue to provide you with the same services and high-quality customer service we currently offer.
