Join Alaska’s leading live event production team! IMIG Audio Video is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead AV technicians during live events. This role is responsible for keeping crews organized, focused, and productive in the field, ensuring events are executed safely, professionally, and on schedule.
This is a full-time, project-based position offering $29–$33/hr DOE, with 401(k) match, paid time off, and health benefits.
This is a field leadership role focused on directing people and workflow. While technical understanding is required, the position is not intended to be the primary technical specialist on site.
During certain high-stakes events, this role may serve as the show runner or act in a technical leadership capacity as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support AV technicians during setup, show execution, and strike
Assign tasks, manage workflow, and adjust plans as conditions change
Maintain awareness of timelines, priorities, and crew capacity
Identify and resolve field issues calmly and decisively
Serve as a point of contact for clients or venue staff when needed
Provide direction, coaching, and accountability for technicians
Support onboarding and workflow training for new team members
Ensure standardized practices are followed to reduce rework
Communicate field updates and challenges to Operations
During downtime, this role supports technician training, workflow improvement, and operational readiness
Technical Scope (Foundational)
Understand core AV concepts well enough to support technicians
Operate common event AV equipment at a competent working level
Recognize when issues exceed your scope and escalate appropriately
Additional training and technical support will be provided to ensure success in this role
Qualifications
Required
Experience supervising teams, crews, or frontline staff
Excellent communicator with the ability to provide clear guidance and direction
Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for guiding teams toward success
Calm under pressure with good situational awareness
High level of professionalism and reliability
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in active event environments
Preferred
Comfortable driving a box truck and able to pass a DOT medical exam
Experience in live events, AV production, logistics, or hospitality
Basic knowledge of audio, lighting, or video systems
Experience training or onboarding staff
Safety or OSHA training
Schedule & Environment
Full-time position with hours based on event schedules
Mix of weekdays, evenings, and weekends
