TDL Staffing is hiring a skilled and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join a busy maintenance team in Anchorage. This hands-on role involves general repair, upkeep, and light construction work across a variety of building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs for building systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC units, fixtures, and plumbing
- Complete minor carpentry, painting, and remodeling projects
- Assist with groundskeeping and custodial tasks as needed
- Respond to on-call emergencies on a rotating schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Interact professionally with residents and staff
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alaska driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Background check required; drug-free workplace
- Must participate in rotating on-call schedule
- Previous experience in trades such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, general construction, or maintenance is required
