The Tour of Anchorage has been evolving and adapting since 1988, but the goal is always the same: to host North America's coolest urban, point-to-point cross-country ski marathon! 🏙️
Mother Nature doesn't always cooperate with perfect snow ❄️. In low-snow years (like 2014-2016 and 2025), we pivot to fun alternative formats on the Kincaid Snow Making Loop. But when the snow piles up, we hit the magnificent point-to-point course that might just be the only one of its kind to traverse an urban environment! 🤯
Choose your challenge: 25K, 40K, or 50K in both Freestyle and Classic techniques. We also welcome our Fatbike friends for 50K, 40K, and 25K races! 🚴♂️💨 Whether you're an elite athlete chasing the win or just challenging yourself to reach the finish line, there's a race for you.
The adventure begins on the Anchorage Hillside (40K/50K) or midtown at APU (25K), winding through the city's greenbelts, over bridges, and through tunnels – all without crossing a single road! 🌉🚇 Every journey ends with a triumphant finish at the Kincaid Park ski stadium, overlooking the stunning Cook Inlet. 🏁🌊
