Laura Magstadt, RN, Chief Nursing Officer
Laura was named Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in 2025, having previously joined the Alaska Regional Hospital family as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer in late 2024. She joined the team from Cache Valley Hospital, a sister HCA Healthcare facility in Utah, where she served as CNO. With more than 20 years of nursing leadership experience, Laura possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise, having held leadership positions in nursing, operations and patient care services. Beyond her professional experience, Laura has been an active leader in the healthcare community, serving on boards of numerous nonprofit organizations and regional nursing associations. She holds multiple postgraduate degrees, including a Ph.D. in leadership and organizational strategy, an MBA in healthcare management, and a master’s degree in nursing.
Todd Gilbert, RN, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer
Todd joined the Alaska Regional family in late 2024 as Director of Emergency Services, and in April of 2025, he was promoted to Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO). Todd’s extensive leadership experience includes having served in nursing leadership roles in emergency services and acute inpatient care since 2012. He has served in positions as Chief Nursing Officer, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Director and Manager. He is an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) board certified nurse executive and has a master’s degree of science in nursing and a master’s degree in business administration.
