They work to attract and serve visitors in order to create jobs and economic development and diversity in Anchorage.

Before joining the team at Visit Anchorage, Saupe held executive and marketing and membership positions with the Mat-Su CVB, Alaska Visitors Association and the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce. She started her career in 1981 providing walking tours for the Fairbanks Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Shortly after graduation, she and her husband packed their bags for Alaska, where she jumped into tourism advocacy with the Alaska Wilderness Recreation and Tourism Association. Sarah’s career highlights include fundraising and marketing, all centered around the beauty Alaska has to offer.
