Event Description:
September is Hunger Action Month. Each year Food Bank of Alaska uses this month to engage with the community and seek out opportunities to educate and inform around issues that impact hunger in Alaska.
Experts representing three sectors in Alaska will address how hunger is interrelated with many other issues that low-income Alaskans face. These experts will speak to what hunger looks like from the perspective of different Alaskan populations: Children, seniors, and individuals experiencing homelessness. The presentations will be followed by Q&A.
Learn about the role you can play in addressing hunger in our state, from donating food, money, or time directly to the Food Bank, to support the programs that many of our clients rely on to make ends meet.
