Join us at "Make it Monday" to learn about the Anchorage Mushing District! Celebrating Alaska's mushing history on 4th Ave. from A to G St. Hear about the progress made to date, and the way you can support the  project while benefiting business in Anchorage.

James Huettl has been the president of the board for the Anchorage Mushing District Inc., since its inception in 2019. He has been on the board of directors for Fur Rendezvous since 2012. Mr. Huettl is a retired Architect. He was a principal in the firm of USKH for 34 years, retiring in 2010 as CEO. Jim and Jan Huettl have been married 54 years and have lived in Anchorage 53 years. They have two sons and three grandsons all who live near them in South Anchorage. Jim and Jan enjoy spending their weekends at their cabin at Nancy Lake near Willow.




 



Melinda Gant is a passionate community advocate and leader in Anchorage, Alaska. With a background in marketing/branding and community development, she has dedicated her career to fostering connections and driving meaningful change. Outside her work, she enjoys exploring Alaska’s natural beauty, being a grandmother, and supporting local initiatives.





 



Dave Karp is the senior vice president and managing Director of Saltchuk, Alaska. David is originally from
Nome, but has lived in Anchorage for over 35 years with his wife Debbie, four grown children and two grandkids.

Registration is due by 5 pm the Thursday prior, but please RSVP at your earliest convenience. A $2 fee will be added to all walk-in registrations, and available seating is not guaranteed.

  • General Admission +  Lunch: $35 Members / $40 Non-Members
  • Table Reservation (Seats 8):  $230 Members / $280 Non-Members
  • Coffee-Only Reservation: $13 Members / $15 Non-Members
  • Punch Card (10 lunches): $330 Members-Only
  • Students: $15 w/ID

CANCELLATION NOTE: For a full refund, registration must be canceled by 5 pm the Thursday prior. No refunds will be given after this date. If you do not arrive by 12:00 pm, your seat will be forfeited. All registrations are transferable to another person upon your request.
