The school year is off to a great start and learning abounds throughout the Anchorage School District. Join us as Superintendent Dr. Jharrett Bryantt shares an update on the launch of the new year, including implementation of ASD’s School Start Times and Move to Middle School initiatives. As well, he will speak to the Academies of Anchorage initiative and what comes next in the plan to reimagine how students are prepared to enter life after high school. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions prior to the forum.

PLUS, a member presentation by Robin Dempsey, CEO, Catholic Social Services.
 



Dr. Jharrett Bryantt joined the Anchorage School District (ASD) in the summer of 2022 as Superintendent. Prior to joining ASD, Dr. Bryantt served as the Houston Independent School District’s Executive Officer of Talent, leading critical human resources functions for more than 27,000 employees. During his nine years at Houston ISD, he served in numerous capacities, including Assistant Superintendent. Dr. Bryantt holds doctoral and master’s degrees in education leadership and policy from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science from Yale University. He currently serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Alaska, the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and Anchorage Economic Development Forum Investor’s Council.

CANCELLATION NOTE: For a full refund, registration must be canceled by 5 pm the Thursday prior. No refunds will be given after this date. If you do not arrive by 12:00 pm, your seat will be forfeited. All registrations are transferable to another person upon your request.
