ACDA recognizes that healthy business districts play an important role in the vitality of Anchorage and understands there are many challenges that businesses can face.
ACDA, with support from the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Alaska Small Business Development Center and Northrim Bank, has launched the Great Streets Façade Loan Program. Mike Robbins, Executive Director of ACDA, will discuss the program and how it can revitalize business districts in Muldoon and Downtown by providing low-interest loans to improve the appearance of building facades and stimulate private investment.

Mike Robbins
Executive Director of the Anchorage Community Development Authority. Overseeing the re-development of our city, working on providing innovative parking solutions for downtown and promoting a legislative agenda that will help drive Economic Development.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, he moved to Alaska in 1975. He has lived around the state in Kodiak, Kenai, Fairbanks, and Anchorage.
Started his first business at 17 after leaving high school. Since then, Mike has owned and operated several successful companies, including a Radio Broadcasting Company, Advertising Agency, a Mobile Marketing business, a Live events company, and others.
Mike currently serves as Chairman of the Mayors “Anchorage Economic Diversification and Revitalization Committee”. Is a Port of Anchorage Port Commissioner, a member of the AEDC Board of Directors, and Vice Chair of the Alaska Republican Party. Together with his wife, Mike was the founder of The Ukraine Relief Program, which has helped more than 1,000 Ukrainians to resettle in Alaska since the war began. Mike also serves on the Board of The Alaska Project, a non-profit focused on addressing the workforce shortage in Alaska.
