Who is BOMA Anchorage? What do they do? Join us and Doug Lamkin, President of BOMA Anchorage, at "Make it Monday" to learn about their advocacy efforts, community support initiatives, and scholarship program.

PLUS, Mayor Berkowitz will be in attendance to give an update on the health of the Municipality, including some of the latest on community development activities.

The Building Owners and Managers Association of Anchorage (BOMA Anchorage) is an organization of commercial property owners, managers, leasing agents and allied professionals with an interest in promoting the professional, educational and legislative interests of the commercial property industry in the State of Alaska. 

The local chapter, BOMA Anchorage, was established in 1983, and currently represents over 40 million square feet of commercial property in the Municipality of Anchorage.

Their membership represents a cross section of the Commercial Real Estate Industry in Alaska, with members in Anchorage, and as far north as Fairbanks and south to Juneau.

Speaker: Doug Lamkin, President of BOMA Anchorage

Doug Lamkin is President of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Anchorage.  He is a lifelong Alaskan, small business owner, and general contractor with multiple certifications focusing on weatherization, building restoration and inspections. He is currently the Director of Facilities for NeighborWorks Alaska, overseeing the operations and maintenance of 950,000 square feet within the Municipality of Anchorage. He has served as Vice Chair of Habitat for Humanity Anchorage from 2002 until 2012, and also as the past president and owner of Home Restorations from 1998 until 2013.  In addition to BOMA, Doug currently Chairs the Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND) Commission, sits on the Assembly Committee to End Homelessness, and is an all-around good guy.
