JA "Beat the Bear" 5K Family Fun Run/Walk

Join Junior Achievement of Alaska for a Timed 5K & 1K Family Fun Run/Walk in Downtown Anchorage. $25 for the 5K, $5 for the 1K. Join Junior Achievement of Alaska on Saturday, August 2, 2025 for the JA “Beat the Bear” Fun Run/Walk -a Race for Financial Fitness, and help raise funds to support financial literacy in Alaska’s classrooms. All proceeds will benefit Junior Achievement of Alaska’s statewide financial literacy programs, benefitting 19,000 students annually. We will have a runner dressed as a bear and if you run the 5K faster than him, you will receive a special gift! $25 for the 5K, $5 for the 1K. Prizes for top finishers! This family-friendly event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Ship Creek Running Trail. We are anticipating a highly successful and well-attended race. Junior Achievement of Alaska is incorporated as a 501 (c )(3), and is funded by businesses and individuals.
