Major public and private projects are starting in downtown Anchorage in 2026. Join us on May 6th to learn what’s planned for this summer, speak directly with project teams and Municipal departments, and celebrate new investment in our downtown.

• Sidewalk replacements on 5 , 6 , G St.
• Proposed traffic speed reduction
• Also happening this summer: new locations for events, new construction and residential & commercial developments, pilot projects, and more! 

This event will take place during the 2026  Anchorage Travel Expo, which is also held at the Dena’ina Center from 12-4 and 5-7PM. Both events are free and open to the public, with no need to RSVP.
