Keeping track of the upcoming alcohol sales tax requires a system that can accurately calculate and report on those taxes. Utilizing a modern Point of Sale system (POS), can assist merchants in doing so as well as many more beneficial technologies, especially during COVID. This presentation will give an overview of POS options, what the Municipality is looking for in transactions and reporting, as well as some relevant examples of how POS technology is helping Anchorage merchants.
