The Equifax data breach is, by far, the worse data breach that this country has seen to date. Not only has it impacted United States consumers but it has also impacted Canadian consumers. Sadly, we have yet to see the full impact.
The potential for you to have your identity stolen is greater than it ever was! Identity theft is NOT just about your credit. It is about YOU. Identity theft will impact every corner of your life, your spouse or significant other, and your children from birth to adult. No one is safe. The potential for damage is real.
Monitoring only of your credit report may only tell you something has happened. It does nothing to fix it when it happens. It’s like getting the phone call that your house is on fire…but no help in putting out the fire. “Free” is not necessarily good when it comes to protecting your identity.

Trish Neal, LegalShield Independent Associate, has been with LegalShield for ten years. While LegalShield is new to Alaska having opened in February of this year, Ms. Neal is very familiar with the state having lived in Wrangell in SE Alaska for over 16 years. She traveled the state as the Director/Curator of the Wrangell Musuem for over 11 years.
She left Alaska in 1995, to take care of her elderly mother. She eventually joined LegalShield and started learning the business while waiting for the day that LegalShield opened up in Alaska. She is Small Business certified, Group/Employee Benefits certified and is certified for the Commercial Drivers Legal Plan (CDLP).
She returned to Alaska last October to prepare for the opening of LegalShield in Alaska.. Ms. Neal has a background working for state government, non-profit organizations, historic preservation, and is an Historian and author of three books. She has a strong business background and enjoys working with small business owners.
