Because the government marketplace is huge, having a focused market approach is critical. Agencies (includes Federal, State of Alaska and local governments) have their own priorities, needs, and sometimes their own contract vehicles, so it’s important to find the right fit for your business. Attendees will look at several government websites and databases that include information on agency profiles, government spending, and current opportunities to help a company determine what agencies are in a position to buy what you are selling and if you have the right target market.
In January, 2009, Jody King joined the PTAC staff as a Contract Specialist. Ms. King’s direct procurement experience working with the Federal Government and Contract Administration in private industry brings practical, hands-on experience to the Anchorage business community. With eighteen years’ office administration and project coordination experience, Jody provides client assistance with all arenas of Government contracting, including solicitation review, government certifications, marketing to governmental agencies and contract administration. Jody has completed 180 hours of focused government contract and administration training and is pursuing Government Contract Certification.
