Chamber Academy - 2018: This Will Be Your Year!

Choosing your "Word for the Year" can help set the tone for the coming year.

Will your Word be "Lead"? "Teach"? "Freedom"? "Happiness"?

Learn why choosing One Word is better than setting New Year's Resolutions that are often forgotten. Accompanying this concept is creating your "Vision Board" to help you remember your goals for the coming year. The Vision board is used to spend a few moments each day meditating about your goals, and to help you visualize your goals. What is incorporated into your own Vision Board is what you want to achieve such as growing your business, a promotion at work, better job, buying your dream home, etc. using pictures and words.  Using both methods together is effective in achieving your goals, changing how you look at life and more.

Handouts will be provided to help participants to work on their own to develop their One Word and their Vision Board. A private work session at no additional charge could be arranged if there is interest in a group session. Materials would be provided by participants.

BIO

Trish Neal, LegalShield Independent Associate, has been with LegalShield for ten years. While LegalShield is new to Alaska having opened in February of this year, Trish has been with the company for ten years.   

Ms. Neal has a background working for state government, non-profit organizations, historic preservation, and is an Historian and author of three books.  She has a strong business background and enjoys working with small business owners. She has enjoyed teaching and/or leading workshops throughout her career and has worked with teens and adults.

Ms. Neal does more than market the services of her company.  She enjoys the educational part of what she does and the opportunity for self-development.

She has used the “One Word” and Vision Board method for several years to help keep her focused on her business and life in general. She likes that these simple concepts fit into one’s life whether you are a business owner or would like to focus on your career or even your family’s goals.
