2023 Military Appreciation Picnic

Anchorage Chamber Military Appreciation Event.

We're back with our combined BBQ and picnic, ready to serve 4,500+ military personnel and their families. 

DEADLINES: The deadline for the Anchorage Chamber to gain base access for volunteers has passed. If you do not have base access but would still like to volunteer please register for the event and go to the Boniface visitors center the morning of. We have limited members of our team to sponsor individuals on base so please contact info@anchoragechamber.org and events@anchoragechamber.org to coordinate.  

For 30 years, we've closed Military Appreciation Week with a bang! To make our appreciation for the military bigger than ever, with free food and great music on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Cottonwood Park.

 That means a picnic AND a concert for all military members and their families. The picnic is held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at JBER- Richardson at Cottonwood Park Playground with live music until 2:30 p.m.

The Anchorage Chamber works closely with JBER, USO, ASYMCA, and other organizations to provide a variety of fun, family-friendly activities during the picnic. This year we're hoping to include face painting, playground activities, basketball, volleyball, and of course couple of great local bands to close the night out.

This event is full of food, music, and fun for the entire family. Each year the Anchorage Chamber solicits nearly 150 volunteers to serve 5,000 local service members and their families.

*Please register, even if you have base access, so the Chamber knows how many volunteers will be available for each shift.
