"Make it Monday" forum - Internet Sales: A Growing Threat to Anchorage Merchants

Is it time for Congress to pass the Marketplace Fairness Act, allowing Alaska to impose a sales tax on goods bought through the Internet?
Longtime Anchorage business owners, along with local business leaders, will discuss the growing risks to the local economy from outside online merchants.

This panel will include Lori Atrops from Habitat Housewares, Jon Bittner of the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, and Chris Schutte from the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd., who will discuss the flight of dollars online and how it impacts the economy.
